Los Chingones, Chef Troy Guard’s bold mexican concept, celebrates Cinco de Mayo with a RiNo Block party including a new spring and summer menu, prize giveaways, Milagro and Don Julio Tequila drink specials, lucha libres, DJ sets and mechanical bull riding.
The Los Chingones RiNo location is blocking off the intersection of 25th and Larimer for the Cinco de Mayo celebration and block party.
Says Guard, “Los Chingones has been on this block in RiNo for almost ten years and we’ve always wanted to throw a huge party for Cinco de Mayo. Now that the city is back open and the weather is warming up -- people are ready to party. Let’s give the people what they want and rock the block!”
DJ Low Key and other local DJs will be outside spinning festive party music all day and into the night. Entertainment for the day include riding the mechanical bull, cheering on luchadors facing off in wrestling matches, spinning the giant prize wheel for the chance to win free food, drinks, swag and some surprise big ticket items and grabbing a bite from Chef Guard who will be out on the block, grilling meat and slinging street tacos.
Cinco de Mayo is the perfect day for all Los Chingones locations to debut their spring and summer menu with new items like the Mexican Pizza, Tijuana Salad with housemade Chipotle Balsamic vinaigrette, and new additions to the small bites section like Taquitos and Ceviche in orange habanero juice – all perfectly designed for warm weather patio enjoyment. Also launching on Cinco de Mayo is a new daily special of any three tacos for $15. At cinco dollars each, guests can choose from Los Chingones signatures like the Bang Bang Shrimp and Adobo Chicken or brand new tacos like the Gringo Taco with a crispy shell, rattlesnake chorizo, lettuce, pico de gallo and shredded cheese or the Paleo Taco with panko crusted tofu, soy mushroom salsa and lettuce.
At all locations, Los Chingones is partnering with tequila brands Milagro and Don Julio for specials like the Milagro Coin Margarita ($10) and the return of the fan-favorite Strawberry Honey Margarita with Don Julio Blanco and Cointreau. Guests can get the celebrations started and keep them going with $8 shots of Milagro and $10 shots of Don Julio.
