Food Delivery Service Black and Mobile Expands to L.A. and NYC

Black and Mobile, the largest Black-Owned food delivery service in the country that exclusively delivers for Black-Owned Restaurants, today announced the expansion of their service to include Los Angeles and New York City.

Launched in 2019, Black and Mobile's main focus is to highlight underrepresented businesses in the urban communities that are often overlooked, and provide them with the technology they need to not only expand their customer base, but to stay competitive in this rapidly changing economy.

“We are thrilled to bring Black and Mobile to the two most populous cities in the country,” says David Cabello, founder of Black and Mobile. “We started Black and Mobile to give exposure to Black-Owned restaurants by supporting black food entrepreneurs and connecting their culture to the surrounding community, and these two new cities will allow us to continue doing so at scale.”

Los Angeles based restaurants available on Black and Mobile include The Original Taco Pete, Sky’s Gourmet Tacos, JR’s BBQ, Fresh & Meaty Burgers (Carson and LA locations), Vegan AF, Jackfruit Cafe, and Smakk’d Refreshers.

In New York City, Cuzin Duzin, Sofia Grace and Cookies, The Nourish Spot, Silver Chicken and Seafood, and Sweet Brooklyn Bar are available on the Black and Mobile app and website.

“Working with BAM is so spot on with Hott Chixx Wings and my personal mission to create economic community with businesses in marginalized and underestimated groups,” says Fostoria Dumas, owner of Hot Chixx in Atlanta. “David’s personal commitment to providing first class service feeds my personal commitment to producing first class food products. We are iron sharpening iron. Together we change the Black business landscape in America.”

In partnership with Pepsi Dig In, Black and Mobile is relaunching in their current markets of Atlanta, Baltimore, and Philadelphia with an upgraded guest experience. Pepsi Dig In is a multi-year platform that is both a rallying call for people to double down on supporting Black-owned restaurants, as well as an invitation for Black restaurateurs to tap into a variety of resources, mentorship and training made possible by PepsiCo.

Working with Figure 8 Logistics, the leading expert in food delivery system design and implementation, Black and Mobile has updated their technology stack to provide a smooth ordering experience on their website and mobile apps. Additional updates include new drivers in all markets, increased pickup and delivery offerings, and real-time order tracking with deliveries received in under an hour.
