Chef Richard Sandoval's dLeña Enhances Chef’s Table Experience

dLeña by Chef Richard Sandoval announced enhancements to its luxury chef’s table experience. Mount Vernon Triangle locals and visitors can enjoy decadent chef’s table offerings with dynamic beverage pairings Tuesday through Saturday evenings with two seatings per night.

For $160, exclusive of tax and gratuity, guests will revel in an eight-course menu with $75 optional beverage pairings. Enjoy innovative dishes like charred avocado with green apple relish, chile de arbol, peanut purée, purple watercress, and arbequina olive oil, scallops ceviche with lychee aguachile, cucumber, mango, and smoke trout caviar, and wagyu tartare with preserved lemon mayo, salsa macha, scallions, truffle, spanish manchego cheese, and charred tlayuda. Other courses include taco langosta with clarified butter, black bean purée, guajillo sauce, and avocado, sakura pork tenderloin with rustic corn purée, pickled veggies, pepita pipian sauce, and crispy chicharron, Chilean sea bass with chipotle miso glaze, celery root purée, bacon salsa, osetra caviar, and Monte Xanic beurre blanc, and cordero a la leña, grilled lamb rack, arbol chile-bean purée, plantain, house-made mole. Finish the meal with something sweet with the platano a la leña, creme fraiche ice cream, agave almonds, requesón cheese, cinnamon, and salted caramel sauce.

Enjoy off-menu items and other surprises and delights at an exquisite leather banquette, behind the main bar, facing into the open kitchen. dLeña and dLeña ROJA are located at 476 K Street NW, Suite D, Washington, DC 20001. Lunch hours are 11am to 3pm Monday through Friday. Dinner hours are 5pm to 10pm Sunday through Thursday, and 5pm to 11pm Friday and Saturday. Brunch is offered at dLeña from 10am to 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Happy hour is available 5pm to 7pm Monday through Friday only at the bar. Reservations are available until 30 minutes before the restaurant closes.
