American Blue Ribbon Brands Raise $587K for Folded Flag Foundation

ABRH, LLC, a diversified food services company headquartered in Nashville, announced three of its restaurant brands raised $587,782 for The Folded Flag Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) organization that provides educational scholarships and support grants to the spouses and children of fallen service members.

From October 14 through Veterans Day (November. 11), O’Charley’s Restaurant + Bar, Village Inn and Bakers Square locations raised funds for The Folded Flag Foundation. Each guest who donated $5 on their dine-in check received a $5 voucher toward a future in-store purchase at the respective participating restaurant brand. The Folded Flag Foundation gives 100 percent of all public donations directly to the scholarship recipients.

“Our ABRH brands are committed to honor the service of our military personnel with particular respect for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. We are honored that our guests and restaurant teams raised over $400,000 more than last year with our cumulative contributions to The Folded Flag Foundation now $982,365,” says Craig Barber, ABRH CEO. “Our O’Charley’s restaurants have supported this worthy cause since 2016. By extending the fundraising efforts to our Village Inn and Bakers Square concepts for the first time this year, we were able to contribute even more to honor the legacies of our nation’s fallen heroes.”

In addition to the fundraiser, each of the three brands offered veterans and active duty service members a free meal on Veterans Day (November 11).  Also, each brand offers a military discount of 10 percent all year long.

“We are honored to have O’Charley’s, Village Inn and Bakers Square join us in advancing our mission,” says Kim Frank, president of The Folded Flag Foundation. “For the 2019-20 school year, we were able to provide more than $2.6 million in educational scholarships to 347 individuals across the nation. With the support of the ABRH restaurant brands and their guests, we look forward to continuing to provide numerous educational scholarships to the spouses and children of military and government personnel who have lost their lives defending our country and freedom for years to come.”
